Detective Nicola Dupré is back at work after a six-month sick leave, but he’s still haunted by his sister’s tragic death. When Captain Moore gives him an unofficial undercover assignment to befriend the sexy, charming Nero Thorn, the erotic writer Nicola idolizes, he quickly accepts. He thinks it’s an easy job until he gets to know the mysterious BDSM author. Overwhelming emotions he can’t explain draw him ever closer to Nero.

Nero Thorn’s a recluse and he likes it that way. When he literally bumps into his shy, handsome new neighbor, Nicola Dupré, sparks fly. He’s drawn to Nicola like a moth to a fire and he quickly falls in love. But he has a dark, dangerous secret he’s kept hidden from the world for years. If Nicola ever finds out who he really is, he’ll run away in fear.

There’s a serial killer out there, and the murder of his sixth victim was written in Nero’s last novel before it ever happened. There’s a connection between Nero, the sixth victim, and the killer, and Nicola has to figure it out before the killer strikes again.

Q) What inspired you to write this story?
A) Well, I was reading a lot of Michael Connolly’s work last year, so I think the suspense in his Harry Bosch police procedural thrillers inspired me to start a M/M erotic romance mystery series.

Q) How long did it take you to write?
Book 1 “To Serve and Protect” was the stepping store and thus the hardest to write. It took me a few months to complete the initial draft. Book 2 “Covet Thy Neighbor” took less time.

Q) What is your favorite thing about writing?
A) I can do it in the comfort of my home, in my cozy slippers, my worn-down jeans and baggy t-shirts, and not care, because no one sees me, except me. J

Q) What is your least favorite thing about writing?
A) Getting out there and spreading the word about my books. Sometimes it feels like I’m a salesman, which isn’t in my nature. J

Q) If you could be any famous person for one day, who would you be and why?
A) Hmm, tough question. To tell you the truth I wouldn’t want to be a famous person. Their lives are way too complicated. They can’t even step out for a cup of coffee at a local café without paparazzi tailing them. I wouldn’t last a minute let alone a day in their shoes.

Q) What is the oldest thing in your fridge and how old is it?
A) A year old bottle of aloe vera juice I bought last year at a health food store and it still hasn’t passed the expiry date. It’s great for minor skin irritations and burns.

Q) What can readers expect from you in the future?
A) Other stories in the “Sexy Men of Mystery” series. I want to further expose the vampire and vampire slayer world I introduced to readers. There’s also a mystery in Book 3 “A Witness’s Submission” I alluded to, about blood melding and telepathy, that I delve deeper into in the story I’m working on at the moment.

You’ll also see minor and major past characters resurface in future stories. They’ll help further uncover this mysterious paranormal world to the reader.

I’m also working on a fantasy paranormal M/M erotic romance series “Nectar of the Gods”, which involves sex, submission, werewolves, and gods. Definitely a highly volatile mix.
