Vail Fillion has left her home in Huntington Beach, California, to study Scandinavian Culture in Oslo, Norway. But she gets her first real taste of culture shock when she goes along with her friend Lisetta to a wild party at her cousin's biker bar. Vail is surprised to find such a large group of motorcycle enthusiasts in this often snow-bound country. She is even more stunned to discover that the bikers are normal guys, if perhaps even more physically imposing than your average Viking. Alreck Falstad--a 6'6" blond, tattooed stand-in for a Norse god--catches her eye but also scares her to death.

Just as Vail is starting to enjoy herself at the party, something truly frightening occurs. The evening is abruptly cut short by a brutal crime, and she is the lone witness. Before she can make it to the cops, Vail is drugged, loaded into Alreck's truck, and transported to his remote cabin in the Lofoten Islands.

Why has Alreck kidnapped her, and what are his plans for her in his snowy haven? Is he her savior, her nemesis, or both? Even if she could escape, would she truly want to?

Q) What inspired you to write this story?
The History Channel debuted it’s new series “VIKING’S” in 2013. I was immediately transfixed by the raw passion of the Norwegian based series. The central character is a intense and highly intelligent man named Ragnar Lodbrok. His stoic nature and warrior heart aided in inspiring me to create the lead hero Alreck from my novel titled NAUGHTY IN NORWAY.

Writing the novel gave me a wonderful opportunity to explore Norwegian culture and language. I was very conscious to make certain aspects of the novel as historically accurate as possible. The locations, food and phrases are all well known by Norwegians. My biggest challenges were to bring forth the beauty of the geography as well as the intense, underlying passion of Alreck’s personality.

After researching bikers in Scandinavia I was enlightened to the fact that there are several distinct motorcycle clubs within Oslo alone. Being the modern day warrior that he is it was only fitting that I write Alreck as a Harley Davidson riding sexy biker.

Q) How long did it take you to write?
I completed Naughty in Norway in four months. The novel was so vivid and intact within my head that it was merely a matter of putting the concept into a print format.

Q) What is your favorite thing about writing?
Hands down the inner peace that comes to me from completing the story.

Q) What is your least favorite thing about writing?
Not having enough time to write.

Q) If you could be any famous person for one day, who would you be and why?
Anne Rice. I admire her forward thinking and ability to be a breathtaking visionary.

Q) What is the oldest thing in your fridge and how old is it?
Ha! Grey Poupon Dijon mustard. Possibly four months old.

Q) What can readers expect from you in the future?
I’m thrilled that NABBED IN NEW ZEALAND will release this coming Valentine’s Day. Following its release, CAPTURED IN CROATIA will launch on May 15th 2014. Currently I am halfway through SCANDALOUS IN SCANDINAVIA which is book two in the NORDIC LIGHTS series. After that I am contemplating a steamy romance set deep within the Australian outback.

Thank you.
Best regards,
Christine
